Experience the best of rural New Zealand as you set off on a private family adventure across Te Aratipi Station, a 3,000-acre sheep and beef farm in the heart of Hawke's Bay.
Hosted by Ro Palmer, this experience is designed for families wanting to step away from the usual tourist trail and experience life on a real New Zealand farm. Travel by Can-Am across rolling hill country, discover native bush, visit a secluded waterfall, meet some of the farm's friendly resident animals and gain an insight into life in rural New Zealand.
No two adventures are exactly the same. Depending on the season and what is happening on the farm, guests may have the opportunity to explore native forest, discover limestone formations, meet farm animals and experience the ever-changing nature of a genuine working farm.
A highlight of the day is sharing a relaxed lunch in one of Te Aratipi's favourite places. Depending on the season and conditions, this may be a picnic beside the waterfall, lunch overlooking the farm from our ridge-top cabins or another special location known only to those who visit.
Created for families seeking meaningful experiences and genuine connection, this is an opportunity to slow down, spend time together and discover a side of New Zealand few visitors ever get to see.
