the bush table

A Hawke's Bay Forest & Fire Dining Experience

Hidden deep within the native bush of Te Aratipi Station, The Bush Table is an immersive dining experience where food, fire and forest come together.

Guests arrive on foot, following a bush track through towering limestone formations and regenerating native forest before emerging into a secluded forest clearing beneath the canopy.

At the heart of the experience sits a long communal table surrounded by native bush, firelight and the sounds of the ngahere.

Created in collaboration with Chef Katie Bachman, menus celebrate the best of Hawke's Bay — featuring locally farm-raised meat, seasonal produce and ingredients sourced from growers, makers and artisans across the region. Food is cooked over fire in front of guests and shared around the table in a relaxed and authentic setting.

This isn't a restaurant.

It's a gathering.

A chance to slow down, disconnect from the everyday and experience a hidden corner of Hawke's Bay few ever see.

Whether you're joining us for a private celebration, corporate event, incentive group or one of our monthly Bush Table gatherings, every experience is designed to be immersive, memorable and deeply connected to place.

Food. Fire. Forest.
